Free QR Code Generator

Make a QR code that opens a ready-to-send email, saves your contact details to a phone, or opens your website. Codes are created in your browser and never expire, because nothing points through our servers.

Style

Your QR code

PNG for documents and social posts; SVG stays sharp at any size, best for print.

How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. Choose what the code should do: open an email, save a contact, open a website, or show text.
  2. Fill in the details.
  3. Adjust colours and error correction if you like.
  4. Download PNG or SVG, and test-scan it with a phone before printing.

Ideas for using QR codes

Flyers and posters: an Email QR code that opens a pre-filled enquiry, so people contact you on the spot.

Business cards and name badges: a Contact card QR code that saves your details straight into their phone.

Shop counters, menus and packaging: a Website QR code linking to your offer, reviews page or sign-up form.

Event check-in or instructions: a Text code with short information.

Printing tips

Print codes at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, larger if people will scan from a distance.

Leave white space around the code; the generator adds the standard quiet zone.

Keep strong contrast: dark code, light background. Avoid glossy surfaces where light glare can hide the code.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The information is stored directly in the code, not behind a redirect link, so it works forever and we can't switch it off.

What does the Email QR code do?

Scanning it opens a new email with the address, subject and message already filled in, so customers just tap Send.

What is error correction?

Extra data that lets a code scan even if part of it is dirty or covered. Use High or Highest if you'll place a logo over the code or print it outdoors.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG for documents, websites and social posts. SVG for print: it stays perfectly sharp at any size.

Can I change where the code points after printing?

No. These codes contain the information directly, which is why they never expire. Changeable "dynamic" codes need a redirect service, which can also be switched off by its owner.

Is there a limit on how many codes I can make?

No. Make as many as you like, free, with no account.
