Need to email a long list of people who asked to hear from you, such as club members, customers or parents? The Email List Splitter breaks one big list into smaller batches you can work through over several days, without losing your place or emailing anyone twice. Paste your list, pick a batch size and tick off each batch as you send it. Free, no signup, and it runs entirely in your browser.
Sending newsletters or marketing to a large list? Use an email service provider such as Mailchimp, Brevo or Kit instead. They handle unsubscribes and deliverability, and personal Gmail and Outlook accounts aren't built for bulk mail. Only email people who have agreed to hear from you.

Why split a bulk email list?
Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and other email providers are built for everyday email, not mass mailings. To fight spam, each one limits how many recipients an account can email in a 24-hour period. A free Gmail account allows about 500 recipients a day, and Google Workspace accounts allow more. Outlook, Yahoo and other providers have similar daily caps.
Go over the limit and Gmail stops you from sending for up to 24 hours. Sending large volumes again and again can also hurt your sender reputation, which pushes more of your emails into spam folders.
Splitting a list by hand is slow and easy to get wrong. You lose track of where you stopped, email someone twice, or paste in too many at once. This tool takes care of it for you:
How to use it
1. Paste or upload your list. It can be messy, since the tool pulls out the addresses on its own. 2. Choose which providers to include, or click Gmail only. 3. Pick how many emails you want to send per day. 4. Copy or download one batch each day and tick "Sent" when it's done. Click the × on a batch to delete it once you're finished, so only the batches you still need stay on screen.
Frequently asked questions
Is it OK to send bulk email from a personal Gmail account?
Gmail's daily limits exist to stop spam, so a personal account is fine for occasional emails to people who know you, such as a club or a class, but not for marketing or newsletters. For those, use an email service provider: it handles unsubscribe links, sender authentication and deliverability, and it's what laws like CAN-SPAM expect for commercial email.
Is there a limit on how many emails I can paste?
No. The tool runs in your browser, so the only limit is your device's memory. Lists of hundreds of thousands of addresses work fine on a normal computer.
Can I split only Gmail addresses?
Yes. After you paste your list, the tool shows every provider it found with a count. Click Gmail only to keep just Gmail addresses, or tick any mix of Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook/Hotmail, AOL, iCloud and business domains.
Why are batches capped at 499?
Google limits personal Gmail accounts to about 500 recipients a day, no matter which providers you are sending to. Keeping batches at 499 or less means one batch a day stays under that limit.
What happens if I go over Gmail's daily sending limit?
Gmail shows an error saying you've reached a limit for sending mail, and you can't send again for up to 24 hours. Splitting your list into batches of 499 or fewer and sending one batch a day avoids this.
Does this work if I send from Outlook, Yahoo or Google Workspace?
Yes. Pick a batch size that fits your account's daily limit. Google Workspace and some other business accounts allow more than 500 a day, so you can send more than one batch per day if your plan allows it.
Will splitting my list keep my emails out of spam?
It keeps you under sending limits, which protects your account. Inbox placement also depends on a clean list, good content and following email laws such as CAN-SPAM, which requires a working way to unsubscribe. Clean your list before you split it so fewer emails bounce.
Are my email addresses uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why does it remove Gmail addresses that look different?
Gmail ignores dots and anything after a plus sign in the username, so john.smith@gmail.com and johnsmith+news@gmail.com reach the same inbox. With Gmail-aware duplicates on, these count as one person so nobody gets your email twice.
Does "Sent" get saved?
Yes. Your list, settings and Sent ticks are saved in this browser on this device, so you can close the tab and carry on the next day. Nothing is uploaded. Saving doesn't work in private windows, and clearing your browsing data removes it, so download all batches as a CSV if you want a permanent record. Use "Start over" to clear it.
